Amylopectin is a highly branched polysaccharide based on glucose, which is made into starch together with amylose. The glucosidic bond of amylopectin is α-1,4 in the glucan chain and α-1,6 at the branch point. The structural form of amylopectin from maize is different from amylopectin from other plant species and can be used in the study of starch development
