Cellulose (abbreviated CE) is an organic compound and a key structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae, and the oomycetes, often used in the production of paper and textiles. Cellulose is functionalized with Rhodamine groups. Rhodamine-conjugated cellulose is a high-quality product with a molecular weight of 1,500 kDa, a high purity level of ≥95%, and a degree of substitution of 1%.
