Chitosan (abbreviated CH), is a natural, biodegradable polysaccharide that is derived from the shells of crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs. Chitosan is functionalized with Rhodamine groups. Rhodamine-conjugated chitosan is a high-quality product with a molecular weight of 10 kDa, a high purity level of ≥95%, and a degree of substitution of 1%.
