Chondroitin sulfate (abbreviated CS) is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan composed of a chain of alternating sugars that is often used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Chondroitin sulfate is functionalized with thiol groups. Thiol-conjugated chondroitin sulfate is a high-quality product with a molecular weight of 32 kDa, a high purity level of ≥95%, and a degree of substitution of 5%.
