Properties
Description
CX-5461, soluble in DMSO and warmed ethanol and insoluble in water, is an effective DNA damage inhibitor, that has the ability to prevent the pathway of DNA damage by inhibiting DNA-RNA synthesis. It targets the A375, HCT-116, MIA PaCa-2, and Pol I-driven transcription of rRNA (HCT-116, A375, MIA PaCa-2 cells).
Molecular Formula
C27H27N7O2S
Targets
A375: 58 nM (ED50); HCT-116: 167 nM (ED50); MIA PaCa-2: 74 nM (ED50); Pol I-driven transcription of rRNA (HCT-116, A375, MIA PaCa-2 cells): 142 nM
Titer
Free from inappropriate visible particulates, foreign matter, discoloration, or other defects
Solubility
In vitro: DMSO: <1 mg/mL; Water: insoluble; DMF (warmed): 3 mg/mL (5.84 mM)
Applications
CX-5461 is a DNA damage inhibitor that can be studied extensively for its potential therapeutic applications in the treatment of cancer, especially after cancer stem cells have been sensitized to chemotherapy.
