Enzymatic catalyzed labeling can be used to track changes in the quality and location of isotopically labeled glycans in vivo. CD BioGlyco is the best choice for global customers in terms of enzymatic catalyzed labeling of glycans. Our professional and reliable service will accelerate our customers' research associated with glycomic quantitation.
In eukaryotic cells, glycosylation is one of the most common post-translational protein modifications (PTM). It is worth noting that glycosylation is a heterogeneous and dynamic event. At different developmental stages and in responses to various factors such as genetic conditions, obvious heterogeneity and fluctuation of glycan levels and structures can be observed. Therefore, a rigorous structural and quantitative analysis of glycans is of great significance to clarify their role in genetic or acquired diseases, including inflammation, cancer, and congenital diseases.
Currently, with the report of quantitative proteomics method combining isotope labeling and mass spectrometry, researchers began to explore the strategies of high-sensitivity and high-throughput analysis of glycans by isotopic labeling technology. Enzymatic catalyzed labeling is a new technology, which is a post-translational method for quantitative analysis of the relative expression levels and activity levels of enzymes of interest in different states of the proteome, and the expression levels of multiple enzymes from different families can be monitored in parallel.

At CD BioGlyco, we provide isotopic labeling services for our customers according to their scientific requirements. Combined with the latest research progress, we provide a variety of enzymatic catalyzed labeling strategies. For example, we provide an AB-ICAT strategy for quantitative analysis of retained β-glycosidases. Specifically, two pairs of (D0, D8)-AB-ICAT reagents were prepared by coupling two mechanism-based glycosidase inactivators with biotin through cleavable linkers encoded by D0 and D8 isotopes. This strategy greatly reduces the complexity of an AB-ICAT-treated sample for MS analysis.
Equipped with the advanced platform and solid professional knowledge, CD BioGlyco has established a variety of effective enzymatic catalyzed labeling strategies to meet our customers' requirements for different purity of isotopically labeled glycans. If you have a demand for glycomic quantitation service, please contact us for more detailed information.
