Properties
Description
FITC-dextran, a water-soluble yellow powder, consists of a fluorescein moiety anchored stably by a thiocarbamoyl linkage without causing any depolymerization of the dextran. This compound exhibits its highest intensity at a pH greater than 8, reaching excitation and emission maximums of 490-495 nm and 520 ± 7 nm, respectively. FITC-dextran is a high-quality product with a molecular weight of 15,000-25,000 and a degree of substitution of 0.001-0.020.
