The Principle of ELISA

ELISA is a biomolecular detection technique widely used in biochemistry, medicine, and other fields for the detection of specific proteins, antibodies, cells, etc. ELISA technology uses specific antibodies to bind to the target biomolecules and achieves the detection, quantification, and characterization of the molecule to be tested through the technique of enzyme labeling. Its main principle is to use the specific binding effect between the fixed antigen, antibody, and the substance to be detected, and after the reaction and washing, the substance is finally detected and quantified by the enzyme marker. It is widely used in the fields of medicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, and environmental science because of its rapid and accurate detection of a wide range of substances such as cytokines, viruses, bacteria, tumor markers, and antibodies. It has now become one of the indispensable assays in the field of biochemistry and medicine.
