Glycosphingolipids (GSLs) are important bio-molecules with diverse and complex chemical structures, and the analysis of their composition is of biological significance. Principle of GE

GE is a biomolecular separation technology that separates and detects products to be separated depending on their molecular size and charge properties. The basic principle of GE is to use a coagulant to immobilize biomolecules on a gel, and then apply an electrical field to move the biomolecules across the gel for the purpose of separating the products. This technique is used by scientists to separate molecules with different physical properties. GE is commonly used to analyze products, but it can also be used as a pretreatment technique to purify molecules before performing assays such as mass spectrometry, polymerase chain reaction, or DNA sequencing. Different types of GSLs serve different physiological or pathological roles in different cells, organs, and biological systems, so the analysis and research of their components is the thing that many scientists have been doing.
