Traditional methods for glycan analysis require a lot of manual operations and analysis, which are inefficient and error-prone. High-throughput automated micro-permethylation technology allows automatic micro-permethylation operations after certain sample pretreatment. The results are analyzed and measured by high-throughput technical means, substantially improving the efficiency and accuracy of the analysis. In this process, the glycan sample first needs to be pretreated to make it more susceptible to the action of micro-permethylation reagents. Next, the micro-permethylation reaction is performed automatically using high-throughput automated equipment to methylate the glycan molecules therein. Finally, the samples are analyzed and detected by mass spectrometry to derive information about the glycan structure. This technique is an important advance in glycan structure analysis as it effectively reduces the time and errors of manual manipulation. By using this technique, researchers can rapidly and accurately analyze a large number of glycan structures and decipher their functions and roles.
