Properties
Description
Human lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) ELISA kit, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, has the ability to detect levels of human LBP as low as 1 μmol/L and its detection range is 7.5-240 μmol/L.
Assay Principle
The kit utilizes purified human LBP antibody to coat microtiter plate wells, creating a solid-phase antibody. The wells are then exposed to LBP samples, resulting in the formation of an antibody-antigen-enzyme-antibody complex when combined with HRP-labeled antibody. After thorough washing, a TMB substrate solution is added, causing the substrate to turn blue due to the catalytic activity of HRP enzyme. The reaction is halted by the addition of a sulfuric acid solution, and the change in color is spectrophotometrically measured at a wavelength of 450 nm. By comparing the Optical Density (O.D.) of the samples to a standard curve, the concentration of LBP in the samples can be determined.
