Josamycin Propionate Analysis Service
Trust in Our Expertise, Rely on Our Accuracy to Provide Josamycin Propionate (JP) Analysis
JP, C45H73NO16, is obtained by acylation of josamycin at position C9. It is a semi-synthetic 16-membered-ring macrolide and belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics. CD BioGlyco provides various simple, sensitive, and selective analysis services for JP.

JP Analysis Service at CD BioGlyco
- Fundamental analysis
- CD BioGlyco provides basic surface analyses including color, powder condition, and solubility test services. We also offer precision loss of drying measurement and incineration residues-heavy metals analysis services. Each step of the process test is strictly controlled.
- Biophysical analysis
- CD BioGlyco provides some professional analysis services such as ultraviolet-visible (UV) spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy (IR), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis.
- Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) analysis
CD BioGlyco provides a rapid test service for JP purity by TLC analysis. Our researchers provide a determination service by comparing the position and color of the main spot on a silica gel thin layer plate between the JP solution to be tested and the standard solution. We provide plate-making and deployment solvent systems according to the client's needs.
- Chromatographic analysis
- Related material analysis: Our researchers optimize the by-response surface method for key factors in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separation such as (strong solvent retention, mobile phase pH, column temperature, etc.) to provide high-specificity HPLC analysis service.
- Individual ingredients analysis: We identify individual components and unknown identity impurities in Pharmaceuticals by ion trap mass spectrometer and fragmentation information analysis.
- Microbiological verification
- According to the parallel line principle design of quantitative reaction, we detect the inhibitory effect of antibiotics on microorganisms by cap-plate method and turbidimetry and calculate the antibiotic activity (potency).

Technology: Liquid chromatography-ion trap mass spectrometry (LC-MS), X-ray crystallographic analysis, NMR, electron ionization mass spectrometry (EI-MS), Chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CI-MS), HPLC
Journal: Journal of mass spectrometry
Published: 2004
Results: In this work, HPLC and LC-MS were used to characterize the 16-membered ring macrolide JP and to identify impurities in the complex. The advantage of this method is that no separation and purification is required. The researchers used the MS/MS and MSn collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra of JP as a template to analyze 18 unknown compounds in combination with functional group fragmentation.

Applications of JP Analysis
- JP analysis promotes the impurity spectrum analysis and control of anti-infective drugs and is the key to the development of methodology.
- JP analysis provides a new approach to the development of analytical methods for other macrolide antibiotics.
- JP's in-depth analysis further identifies a variety of compounds, facilitating the discovery of more of the semi-synthetic derivative JP.
