Kidney Disease Model Construction Service

Kidney Disease Model Construction Service

Your Best Partner for Kidney Disease Model Construction Service

Glycosylation is involved in key biological processes. Its abnormalities may cause the development of diseases such as kidney disease, gastrointestinal disease, cardiovascular and so on. Based on extensive experience in Glycobiology Disease Model Construction, CD BioGlyco offers a kidney disease model construction service related to sugar or glycosylation. These disease models are important for exploring the correlation between disease and glycosylation, therapeutic approaches, etc.

We construct kidney in vivo disease models, including transgenic, inducible, and spontaneous models, by regulating glycosylation levels, etc. Transformation of mice, rats, etc., is achieved by a variety of means, including Gene Editing and induction (induction by a variety of biological and chemical agents). We are constantly exploring and optimizing Glycobiology Disease Model Development techniques. The construction methods are simple, easy to implement, easy to control, stable, reproducible, short cycle time, and are used for various types of analysis.

We mainly construct the following types of kidney disease models. These glycation, glycosylation, and other related kidney disease models are used for research on disease pathogenesis, research and evaluation of therapeutic methods, drug screening, etc.

  • Cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury model construction service
CD BioGlyco offers several types of cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury model construction services to facilitate glycosylation and acute kidney injury research.
  • LPS-induced acute kidney injury model construction service
CD BioGlyco constructs a variety of gene modification models, and others to support clients' basic research on LPS-induced acute kidney injury, glycosylation abnormalities, and drug screening.
  • Pan-induced renal podocyte injury model construction service
As interest in glycomics research deepens, the discovery of an association between glycosylation and disease is shown to correlate with renal podocyte injury. CD BioGlyco provides a high-quality pan-induced renal podocyte injury modeling service to facilitate client research.
  • Unilateral renal ischemia & reperfusion model construction service
CD BioGlyco offers a wide range of unilateral renal ischemia & reperfusion rat and mouse model construction services based on our extensive experience in animal model construction.
  • Bilateral renal ischemia & reperfusion model construction service
CD BioGlyco provides an effective bilateral renal ischemia & reperfusion model construction service for in-depth investigation of etiology, pathogenesis, glycosylation, and other pathophysiological changes.
  • IgA nephropathy-induced model construction service
IgA nephropathy is a common primary kidney disease with abnormal glycosylation. It is important to explore the establishment of an ideal IgA nephropathy-induced model to unravel the pathogenesis and to seek therapeutic strategies. CD BioGlyco provides an ideal IgA nephropathy-induced model construction service for IgA nephropathy research, related new drug development, etc.

Also, at the end of the construct, we provide measurements of renal functions, which mainly included but are not limited to:

  • Pro-inflammatory cytokines
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Histology
  • Serum creatinine

In addition to in vivo models, we also provide in vitro kidney model construction services, including renal tubular epithelial cells, etc.

Results: A renal failure model can be constructed by nephrectomy, which is used in the study of chronic kidney disease. In this study, the researchers novel approach to modeling through nephrectomy. This method simplified the modeling procedure and reduced animal mortality. The model created by this method was tested to exhibit a phenotype of renal fibrosis and an increased expression of α-SMA in the kidney after modeling, which can be used for the study of renal fibrosis and chronic kidney disease. From this study, we learned an efficient and reliable method for constructing mouse kidney disease models.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the link between glycosylation and kidney disease?
The process of glycosylation modification attaches various carbohydrate molecules to proteins or lipids, which plays a crucial role in their structure, stability, and function. Altered glycosylation patterns are associated with many types of kidney disease, such as IgA nephropathy. Models of kidney disease can help provide insights into the molecular mechanisms of the disease, and glycosylation abnormalities, identify potential biomarkers, and optimize drug development strategies.
  • What are the types of animal models of kidney disease?
Depending on the method of model construction, animal models of kidney disease include inducible, spontaneous, and transgenic types. Inducible models of kidney disease are modeled by using several inducing drugs. Spontaneous and transgenic types are relatively ideal experimental models. Among them, transgenic kidney disease models are constructed by various gene editing means.

Applications of Kidney Disease Model Construction Service

  • Glycosylation pattern studies: The kidney disease model is used to study how altered glycosylation patterns affect kidney function, providing insight into the underlying mechanisms of disease pathogenesis.
  • Biomarker discovery: The kidney disease model identifies biomarkers that correlate with disease severity, such as specific glycans, which can help detect and monitor kidney dysfunction earlier.
  • Drug Screening: The kidney disease model is used for drug screening and to help predict drug response.
