L-Fucose (6-Deoxy-L-galactose)can be used as a substrate for identification, differentiation and characterization of fucose, 1-fucose isomerase and L-fucose dehydrogenase. L-fucose can be used as a reference compound in the identification and analysis of rare sugars.
