LPS and its lipid A part stimulate the cells of the innate immune system through Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which is a member of the Toll-like receptor protein family and can recognize common pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP). The product is TCA extracted from E. coli O127: B8 serotype.
