Properties
Description
Microorganism lipopolysaccharide-antibody (LPS-Ab) ELISA kit, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, has the ability to detect levels of microorganism LPS-Ab as low as 1.0 EU/L and its detection range is 25-800 EU/L.
Assay Principle
The kit employs the indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. Microtiter plate wells are pre-coated with antibodies specific to microbial lipopolysaccharide (LPS-Ab). The assay is performed by sequentially adding the sample, standard, and HRP-labeled detection antibodies to the wells. After incubation and thorough washing, a substrate called TMB is added, which undergoes a color change to blue in the presence of the peroxidase enzyme. Upon addition of an acidic solution, the color turns into the final yellow form. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the presence of microbial lipopolysaccharide antibodies (LPS-Ab) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at a wavelength of 450nm using a microplate reader, and the sample concentration is calculated based on this measurement.
