N-glycans refer to sugar chains attached to asparagine (Asn) residues of proteins through N-glycosidic bonds. Its core structure is highly conserved and consists of two N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) and three mannose (Man) residues. The core is further extended to form complex and diverse branched structures. CD BioGlyco adopts internationally leading production processes and strict quality control standards to provide high-quality N-glycan products to clients around the world. We also provide customized solutions for clients, whether it is the synthesis of N-glycan with a specific structure or large-scale N-glycan production, our team of experts will provide professional technical support and services.
According to the extension method of the sugar chain, N-glycans are mainly divided into three types:
- High mannose type: multiple mannose residues are attached to the core structure.
- Hybrid type: one side of the sugar chain is a high mannose structure and the other side is a complex structure.
- Complex type: different monosaccharide residues are added to the core structure to form a highly branched and diverse structure.

We specialize in providing tailored solutions for your glycobiology research. Explore our diverse range of N-glycan structures or custom-synthesize your target structure to meet your research needs.
Applications
- Develop biomarkers for early diagnosis and prognosis assessment of cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases by detecting changes in N-glycans in serum or on the cell surface.
- N-glycan modification affects the stability, immunogenicity, and pharmacokinetics of drugs. By optimizing the N-glycan structure, the efficacy and safety of biological drugs are improved.
- N-glycans are potential targets for immunotherapy. Modifying the N-glycan structure on the surface of tumor cells enhances the immune system's recognition and clearance of tumors.
- Studying the structure and function of N-glycans helps us to gain a deeper understanding of the biological effects of proteins and the complex regulatory mechanisms within cells.
Advantages of Us
