Properties
Description
Naftopidil (flivas), soluble in DMSO and insoluble in water and ethanol, inhibits the signaling pathway between G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and G proteins. It targets α1A-adrenergic receptor, α1B-adrenergic receptor, and α1D-adrenergic receptor.
Molecular Formula
C24H28N2O3
Targets
α1A-adrenergic receptor: 3.7 nM (Ki); α1B-adrenergic receptor: 20 nM (Ki); α1D-adrenergic receptor: 1.2 nM (Ki)
Solubility
DMSO: 77 mg/mL (196.17 mM); Water: insoluble; Ethanol: insoluble
Applications
Naftopidil (flivas) can be used for its effect on relaxing the smooth muscle in the prostate gland and the bladder neck.
