Nucleoside-based Deoxycytidine Production Service

Overview of Deoxycytidine

Deoxyribonucleic acid includes deoxycytidine. A hydroxyl group was taken out from the deoxycytidines C2' position, which is different from ribonucleoside cytidine. Deoxycytidine kinase can phosphorylate it at C5' of the deoxyribose and then reverse it to one precursor of DNA, which is called deoxycytidine monophosphate. de novo biosynthesis of dUMP occurs by two distinct pathways in pyrimidine biosynthesis. Producing 75% of endogenous dUMP is produced by the route, which involves the deamination of dCTP to dUTP by dCTP deaminase, then the hydrolysis of dUTP-by-dUTP nucleotide hydrolase (dUTPase) to yield dUMP. The reversion of UDP by ribonucleoside diphosphate reductase to dUDP, and dUTP is produced by nucleoside diphosphokinase through phosphorylation. Next, the dUTPase hydrolyzes it to dUMP, the remaining 25% of dUMP arising through this route.

Nucleoside-based Deoxycytidine Production Service at CD BioGlyco

CD BioGlyco is a professional deoxycytidine production supplier, we formulate different production programs to meet the needs of clients to ensure that we provide the best service for different projects.

  • Production methods
    • Chemical synthesis
      • Phosphoramidite strategy.
        • In the presence of inorganic polyphosphate salts, deoxycytidine is synthesized via the dehydration reaction of ribose together with the corresponding purine base.
    • Biosynthetic methods
      • Deoxycytidine production by a metabolically engineered Escherichia coli strain.
        • We demonstrate that deoxycytidine could be readily achieved by recombineering with biosynthetic genes and regulatory genes. In addition, we show that the methods efficiently improved deoxycytidine yield and decreased byproduct content.
  • Quality control analysis
    • Quantitative determinations of bases and nucleosides are performed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
    • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is used to verify bioactive.
  • Production capacity
    • Large-scale production.
  • Structure modification
    • Modification of deoxycytidine structure according to the specific needs of clients' research and project development to obtain products with different uses and functions.
