Nucleoside-based Deoxyguanosine Production Service
Structure of Deoxyguanosine
Deoxyguanosine pertains to organic compounds called purine 2'-deoxyribonucleosides. The base guanine and the deoxyribose are the basic composition of deoxyguanosine. Deoxyguanosine is similar to guanosine in chemical structure, but the difference is 2' position of the ribose sugar was taken out of the hydroxyl group. Deoxyguanosine monophosphate attached a phosphate group at the 5' position.

Properties of Deoxyguanosine
Biologically, deoxyguanosine plays a fundamental role in the genetic code as one of the four deoxyribonucleosides that constitute DNA. It commonly exists in all living species, including bacteria, plants, animals, and humans. At the same time, lots of enzymatic reactions need the participation of deoxyguanosine. As an essential component of DNA, it plays a crucial role in genetic information storage and transfer. Biologically, it pairs with cytosine (C) through three hydrogen bonds, forming one of the complementary base pairs that make up the DNA double helix structure.

Applications
- Used in molecular biology techniques
- Widely used in research for DNA sequencing, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), DNA labeling, and other molecular biology techniques.
- Used as the precursors
- Serves as a precursor for the synthesis of modified nucleotides and nucleic acid analogs.
- Used as the substrate
- The enzymes that participated in DNA repair processes use deoxyguanosine as an essential substrate. These enzymes recognize and remove damaged or mismatched bases from DNA, contributing to the maintenance of genome integrity.
Advantages
- The production process is flexible and can be adjusted according to actual needs.
- The production process helps maintain the stability and yield of the deoxyguanosine.
- All operations can be completed in a closed system with less pollution and is environmentally friendly.
