Description
Oligosaccharide GT1a at CD BioGlyco is a powder product with a purity of >90%. Gangliosides are acidic glycosphingolipids that form lipid rafts in the outer leaflet of the cell plasma membrane, notably in neuronal cells of the central nervous system.
Applications
Oligosaccharide GT1a can be used for detecting gangliosides in samples and biological systems using MS. It also can be used to study cellular proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, signal transduction, cell-to-cell interactions, cancer, and metastasis.
