It is composed of a core tetrasaccharide structure (Gal1,3GalNAc1,4Gal1,4Glc) with two sialic acids (NeuAc) connected α2,3/α2,8 to the inner galactose residue and sialic acid (NeuAc) attached α2,3 to the terminal galactose residue.
