Properties
Description
Rat lipopolysaccharide (LPS) ELISA kit, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, has the ability to detect levels of rat LPS as low as 1 EU/L and its detection range is 25-800 EU/L.
Assay Principle
Rat lipopolysaccharide (LPS) ELISA kit is designed to measure rat LPS levels in samples using a microtiter plate coated with purified rat LPS antibody to create a solid-phase antibody. LPS is added to the wells, followed by the addition of HRP-labeled antibody, resulting in the formation of an antibody-antigen-enzyme-antibody complex. After thorough washing, a TMB substrate solution is added, leading to the development of a blue color as a result of HRP enzyme catalysis. The reaction is stopped by adding a sulfuric acid solution, and the change in color is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. The concentration of LPS in the samples is determined by comparing the Optical Density (O.D.) of the samples to a standard curve.
