Properties
Description
Recombinant Bacteroides ovatus α-glucuronidase 115A produced by Escherichia coli, breaks down the α-1,2 glycosidic bond between D-glucuronic acid or 4-O-methyl-D-glucuronic acid and terminal non-reducing D-xylose residues found in xylo-oligosaccharides (aldo-uronic acids) and xylan.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Species
Bacteroides ovatus
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Bacteroides ovatus α-glucuronidase 115A can be used in the paper pulp industry and preparation of xylans for pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. It has the ability to hydrolyze glucuronoxylan and methylglucuronoxylan.
