Properties
Description
Recombinant Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron pectate lyase 1A produced by Escherichia coli, enzymatically cleaves the α-1,4 glycosidic bonds between L-rhamnose and D-galacturonic acid residues in type I rhamnogalacturonan (RG-I) through a β-elimination reaction. It is produced in Escherichia coli.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Species
Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron pectate lyase 1A can be used for pectin measurement and carbohydrate research and participates in the eliminative cleavage of polygalacturonic acid (PGA).
