Properties
Description
Recombinant Clostridium difficile β-acetylglucosaminidase 73A produced by Escherichia coli, is an enzyme that is responsible for hydrolyzing the diacetylchitobiosyl unit in glycopeptides and glycoproteins with the (Man(GlcNAc)(2))Asn structure, releasing the intact oligosaccharide except for one N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residue that remains attached to the protein.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Species
Clostridium difficile
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Activity
Acetylglucosaminidases
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Clostridium difficile β-acetylglucosaminidase 73A can be used for glycobiology research. It has the ability to hydrolyze peptidoglycan.
