Properties
Description
Recombinant Elizabethkingia meningoseptica α-N-acetylgalactosaminidase 109A produced by Escherichia coli, is a lysosomal alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase that is responsible for cleaving non-reducing alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminyl moieties from glycoconjugates.

35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Elizabethkingia meningoseptica α-N-acetylgalactosaminidase 109A is useful for the investigation of Schindler's disease. It has the ability to hydrolyze 4-nitrophenyl-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranosyl, 4-nitrophenyl-α-D-galactoside, 4-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactoside, 4-nitrophenyl-β-N-acetylgalactosamine, blood group A and AB mucin glycoproteins.
