Properties
Description
Recombinant Escherichia coli isoamylase 13A produced by Escherichia coli, catalyzes the hydrolysis of the branch linkages of starch that acts by an endo-mechanism to give rise to linear maltodextrins with retention of the α-configuration.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Escherichia coli isoamylase 13A can be used in the industrial manufacture of glucose or maltose from starch. It has the ability to hydrolyze short branched α-polyglucans.
