Properties
Description
Recombinant Lactococcus lactis β-acetylglucosaminidase 73B produced by Escherichia coli, is an enzyme that is responsible for hydrolyzing the diacetylchitobiosyl unit in glycopeptides and glycoproteins with the (Man(GlcNAc)(2))Asn structure, releasing the intact oligosaccharide except for one N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residue that remains attached to the protein.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Species
Lactococcus lactis
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Activity
Acetylglucosaminidases
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Lactococcus lactis β-acetylglucosaminidase 73B can be used for glycobiology research. It has the ability to hydrolyze peptidoglycans.
