Properties
Description
Recombinant Pectobacterium carotovorum pectate lyase 2A1 produced by Escherichia coli, is involved in the cleavage of L-α-rhamnopyranosyl-1,4-α-D-galactopyranosyluronic acid bonds in rhamnogalacturonan I domains within pectin. It is produced in Escherichia coli.
Expression System
Escherichia coli
Species
Pectobacterium carotovorum
Purity
≥90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Buffer
35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol
Applications
Recombinant Pectobacterium carotovorum pectate lyase 2A can be used for pectin measurement and carbohydrate research and participates in the eliminative cleavage of polygalacturonase.
