Recombinant Teredinibacter turnerae glucuronyl esterase 15B produced by Escherichia coli, catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds between 4-O-methyl-D-glucuronic acid residues of glucuronoxylans and aromatic alcohols of lignin.
