Properties
Description
Silodosin (rapaflo), soluble in DMSO and ethanol and insoluble in water, inhibits the signaling pathway between G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and G proteins. It targets α1-adrenergic receptor.
Molecular Formula
C25H32F3N3O4
Targets
α1-Adrenergic receptor
Solubility
DMSO: 97 mg/mL (195.74 mM); Water: insoluble; Ethanol: 97 mg/mL (195.74 mM)
Stability
The product is stable for three years when stored at the recommended temperature in lyophilized powder.
Applications
Silodosin (rapaflo) can be used for its effect on selectively blocking alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in the prostate gland, leading to relaxation of smooth muscle tissue in the prostate and the bladder neck, which helps improve urinary flow and reduce symptoms of obstruction.
Storage
Store at -20℃, and keep desiccated.
