Properties
Description
Fostamatinib, soluble in DMSO and insoluble in ethanol and water, blocks the activity of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk), a key protein involved in the signaling pathways of various immune cells and implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases and certain cancers. It targets adenosine A3 receptor, adenosine transporter, monoamine transporter, and Syk.
Molecular Formula
C23H26FN6O9P
Targets
Adenosine A3 receptor: 81 nM; Adenosine transporter: 1.84 μM; Monoamine transporter: 2.74 μM; Syk: 41 nM
Solubility
DMSO: 107 mg/mL (184.34 mM); Water: Insoluble; Ethanol: Insoluble

Confirmed by NMR/HPLC/MS.
Applications
Fostamatinib (also known as R935788) is studied for inhibiting Syk kinase in the context of autoimmune disorders and platelet function.
