Cytidine Diphosphate (CDP) Production Service
The Role of CDP in Organisms
Cytidine Diphosphate (CDP), Cytidine Triphosphate (CTP), and Cytidine Monophosphate (CMP) are three related nucleotide compounds, all of which contain a cytidine molecule, and CMP is the unit that makes up ribonucleotides, containing a phosphate unit. CDP is one of the synthetic precursors of RNA and DNA, including two phosphate units. CTP has three phosphate units and a β-phosphorylcholine molecule, which is an essential substrate in the process of RNA synthesis. They can be transformed into each other within the organism. CDP can react with CMP through the catalysis of phosphorylcholine acyltransferase (CTP Synthetase) to form CTP. CTP can be degraded into CMP by CTP Nucleotidohydrolase and other related enzymes. Moreover, CMP can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of other nucleotides, which can be phosphorylated to CDP or CTP by adding a phosphate unit. They are involved in a variety of important biochemical processes in organisms.
CDP Production Services at CD BioGlyco
CD BioGlyco provides various types of CDP product supply.
- CDP Products
CDP products are mainly used in various biological assays, such as a complete antigen, monoclonal antibody, polyclonal antibody, CLIA kit, and ELISA kit.
- CDP Sodium Salt Hydrate
CDP acts as a CDP kinase substrate, which is one of the precursors for DNA and RNA biosynthesis. Related products are disodium salt, trisodium salt, and 2'-deoxycytidine 5'-triphosphate disodium salt.
- CDP Derivatives Products
- CDP-diacylglycerol (CDP-DAG): It is a major intermediate in most phospholipid biosynthesis.
- CDP-choline: It can be hydrolyzed into cytidine and choline in the gut for use in various biosynthetic pathways.
- CDP-ethanolamine: It is a key intermediate in membrane phospholipid biosynthesis.

Moreover, CD BioGlyco provides various types of Nucleoside Diphosphate (NDP) Production Services, including Adenosine Diphosphate (ADP) Production Service, Guanosine Diphosphate (GDP) Production Service, and Uridine Diphosphate (UDP) Production Service.
Applications
- Cell signal transduction: CDP and its derivatives play a role in cell signal transduction pathways. For example, CDP-choline (Cytidine Diphosphate Choline, CDP-Choline) can be used as a precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is involved in neurotransmission and memory formation.
- Nucleic acid synthesis: CDP is one of the precursors of RNA and DNA synthesis. It can be used to study the synthesis and metabolism mechanism of nucleic acid by providing a cytidine group to participate in the extension and repair process of the nucleic acid chain.
- Lipid synthesis and metabolism: CDP can react with other molecules to form phospholipids, participate in the construction and maintenance of cell membranes, and play a key role in the lipid synthesis pathway.
- Drug development and screening: CDP and its related compounds may be used in drug development and screening to assess their effects on cell signaling, nucleic acid synthesis, or lipid metabolism.
