Glyconanotechnology-based Cytosensor Development Service

Glyconanotechnology-based Cytosensor Development Service

Overview

In biomedical research and diagnostics, Glyconanotechnology-based Biosensors have become an important tool for detecting biomarkers due to their unique recognition ability and high sensitivity. CD BioGlyco provides a full range of services for developing cellular sensors based on glyconanotechnology, from design to performance testing. Cytosensors utilize living cells as the detection unit and measure the functional information of the analyte. Our high-performance GlycoNano™ Platform fulfills all your needs in sensor development.

Many Types of Cytosensors to Choose From

Cytosensors for Monitoring the Environment Inside and Outside the Cell

  • We offer cytosensor development services to monitor changes in the environment inside and outside the cell. Through the use of advanced biosensing technologies, we provide our clients with customized cytosensors that are integrated into cell culture systems or bioreactors.
  • Our cytosensors detect and quantify in real-time changes in chemicals and physiological states in the cellular microenvironment, such as pH, oxygen concentration, metal ions, nutrients, protein expression, and metabolites.

Cytosensors for Monitoring Cellular Electrophysiological Behavior

  • Based on microelectrode array and nanotechnology, we offer cytosensor development services for monitoring cellular electrophysiological behaviors such as action potentials, membrane potential changes, and ion channel activity. Our high-quality cytosensors provide electrophysiological signals with high spatial and temporal resolution.

Cytosensors for Monitoring Cellular Mechanical Behavior

  • We offer cytosensor development services for the detection of mechanical stress, strain, and adhesion in cells. By integrating nanomaterials and microfluidics, our cytosensors provide effectors for intracellular effects.
  • Our cytosensors take into account the complexity of cytomechanical signals and provide a multi-parameter, real-time mechanical characterization of e.g. morphology, distribution, adhesion, and motility.

Cytosensors for Monitoring Cell-Specific Behavior

  • For applications that require monitoring of cell-specific behaviors, we offer customized cytosensor services. These sensors are capable of detecting cell-specific behaviors such as cell cycle progression, cell death, and intercellular communication.
  • We provide other cytosensors such as Bioluminescence-based cytosensors and cytosensors based on certain bacteria with luminescent properties or cytosensors based on bacteria designed with luciferase genes.

Results: In this study, researchers cross-stacked ultra-long polylactic acid-hydroxyacetic acid copolymer (PLGA) nanofibers on the surface of Ni microcolumns by electrospinning to construct a three-dimensional biomimetic interface for trapping Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM)-expressing circulating tumor cells (CTCs). The researchers used quantum dot-functionalized anti-EpCAM antibodies (QDs-Ab) for immunorecognition and the formation of immune complexes on micro/nano chips. This 3D cell sensor is highly suitable for quantitative analysis of CTCs.
