Nucleoside-based Adenosine Production Service

Characterization of Adenosine

Adenosine is a compound consisting of the N-9 of adenine linked to the C-1 of d-ribose by a β-glycosidic bond, with the chemical formula C10H13N5O4, and its phosphate ester is adenosine acid. Adenosine is an endogenous nucleoside found throughout human cells, which can enter the myocardium directly and be phosphorylated to produce adenylate, which is involved in myocardial energy metabolism. Adenosine has important physiological effects on the human cardiovascular and other systems of the body. For example, adenosine has the function of promoting coronary vasodilation and myocardial metabolism. Therefore, adenosine is also involved in the dilation of coronary blood vessels, increasing blood flow and playing a pharmacological role in increasing the blood volume of coronary blood vessels. Adenosine is thought to have the above physiological properties, and it can be used in the treatment of coronary vascular disorders, stenosis, atherosclerosis, and hypertension.

Nucleoside-based Adenosine Production Service at CD BioGlyco

Adenosine has a key role in the biomedical field, so it is essential to study the production of adenosine. At CD BioGlyco, we offer both chemical and biological ways to produce adenosine.

  • Chemical Synthesis Method

    • In this method, we produce adenine nucleoside by using different nitrogen-containing heterocycles as starting materials and undergoing various chemical reactions. At CD BioGlyco, we have a variety of synthetic routes using different inorganic salts and organic solvents for the synthesis of adenosine.
  • Biological methods

    • Enzymatic Method
We prepare adenosine by selecting a suitable biological enzyme that catalyzes adenosine derivatives under specific external conditions. This method is highly efficient and environmentally friendly and is an excellent method for producing adenosine.
    • Fermentation
Fermentation is also an important method for producing adenosine. At CD BioGlyco, we offer a wide range of bacteria or fungi, which are utilized for the production of adenosine in a specific medium by fermentation.
    • Plant extraction methods
In addition to producing adenosine by synthesis, we also offer methods for extracting adenosine from plants. At CD BioGlyco, we extract pure adenosine from plants through a series of processes including dissolution, centrifugation, and filtration. and column chromatography.

In addition to adenosine production services, CD BioGlyco also offers adenosine content testing (utilizing electrophoresis-UV spectrophotometry). Overall, we have a full range of services to produce and test adenosine.
