Nucleoside-based Cytidine Production Service
Characterization of Cytosine Nucleoside
Cytidine is a chemical substance with the molecular formula C9H13N3O5. It is a ribonucleoside (containing the pyrimidine base cytosine) that makes up nucleic acids and forms a unit of the genetic code. Cytidine pairs with the corresponding guanosine in a non-covalent form in deoxyribonucleic acid and ribonucleic acid. Cytidine, as an important component of RNA in the human body, plays an important regulatory role in organisms and has a variety of physiological activities. Cytisine is also a good raw material for many anti-viral, anti-tumor, and anti-AIDS drugs. In addition, Cytidine derivatives can improve the state of consciousness and electroencephalogram after head trauma as well as brain surgery, and it is useful in promoting the recovery of brain function and awakening.

Nucleoside-based Cytidine Production Service at CD BioGlyco
The role of cytidine in the medical field is crucial. For the production of cytidine, CD BioGlyco has extensive experience. We offer a variety of ways to choose from in terms of production routes.
- Chemical Synthesis
This method mainly takes other base fragments as raw materials and obtains cytidine through a series of catalytic reactions. In the chemical synthesis method, there are abundant routes, and CD BioGlyco uses microwave radiation in this method, and adjusts the routes according to the application range of the target products to produce the most suitable cytidine for customers.
- Ribonucleic acid hydrolysis
This method takes ribonucleic acid as the substrate, hydrolyzes it with the catalytic effect of the enzyme, and finally separates and purifies it to get cytidine. The conditions of this method are mild, and it is an excellent way to produce cytidine.
- Biological fermentation
We apply molecular biotechnology to the cultivation of cytidine fermentation strains to maximize the production of cytidine. This method has a short cycle time, simple conditions, and high yield, which is very suitable for industrialized production of cytidine.
