Thymine Nucleotide Production Service

Characterization of Thymine Nucleotide

Nucleotides are compounds consisting of bases, phosphate groups, and ribose or deoxyribose. Nucleotides are mainly involved in the formation of nucleic acids and have important biological functions such as cellular energy metabolism and regulation. Thymine nucleotide is one of the components of nucleotides, which consists of thymine as a base, together with a phosphate group and deoxyribose. Thymine nucleotides and their derivatives have been used in large numbers in agricultural production, medicine, food processing, genetic engineering, and scientific research. For example, it can be used as a plant growth hormone that promotes the growth of plants. It can also be configured as a pesticide to combat plant diseases. In the field of medicine, thymine nucleotides play a central role in the treatment of tumors as well as in the regulation of the human immune system. Because of its non-toxicity and high efficiency, thymine nucleotide has a very broad development prospect.

Thymine Nucleotide Production Service at CD BioGlyco

At CD BioGlyco, we have many years of research experience in the production of thymine nucleotides, providing our clients with fully customized production solutions. We offer the following production methods for thymine nucleotides:

  • Biosynthesis: ab initio and remedial synthesis
    • In the ab initio synthesis, thymine nucleotides are synthesized from precursor molecules (the precursor molecules contain aspartic acid, glutamine, and carbonic acid, among others). The process is carried out in two steps, which are the formation of the pyrimidine ring and the attachment of the pentose sugar. Each step contains multiple enzymatic reactions and each reaction is catalyzed by a specific enzyme.
    • In remediation synthesis, CD BioGlyco converts thymidine as well as phosphate groups to thymine nucleotides through the action of thymidine kinase and other enzymes. In this process, thymidine kinase saves energy and resources and contributes to the overall metabolism of pyrimidine nucleotides in the cell.
  • Chemical Synthesis
We catalyze the reaction substrate to the target product under specific catalytic conditions. To increase the efficiency of the reaction, we continuously improve the reaction scheme to avoid the complex operation of protection-deprotection. In addition, we provide services to analyze the structure of the products.

Applications

  • Thymine nucleotides could be used in research for the production of anti-AIDS drugs.
  • Thymine nucleotides could be used in production studies of intermediates for antitumor drugs.
  • Thymine nucleotides could be used to promote research on food additives.

Advantages

  • Thymine nucleotide production helps to explore intercellular activities such as cellular energy metabolism and regulation.
  • The production of thymine nucleotides helps to investigate the physiological activities of thymine nucleosides.

Researchers at CD BioGlyco have established a variety of methods for the production of thymine nucleotides that are characterized by high selectivity, high sensitivity, good stability, and workability.
