At CD BioGlyco, your Lipidomics research is performed by scientists with extensive experience in lipid analysis and characterization. We provide an integrated solution of GT2 analysis.
Gangliosides occur on the cellular surfaces of neuronal cells, where they form a complex pattern, but are also found in many other cell types. GT2 belongs to the group of gangliosides within sphingolipids. Its structure consists of a ceramide backbone linked to an oligosaccharide unit consisting of six sugar molecules. GT2 is associated with tumors. It acts as an immediate precursor to the more complex GT1 gangliosides. In addition, GT2 has been shown to interact with tetanus toxin, facilitating the entry of the toxin into cells.

CD BioGlyco has developed a complete solution for Trisialoganglioside (GT) Analysis. We offer purification and extraction methods that retain the O-acetyl modification and analysis of gangliosides by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight (MALDI-TOF). Taking cell samples as an example, our analysis steps are as follows.
Extracting neutral and acidic glycosphingolipids using organic reagents.
Acidic glycosphingolipids are analyzed by MALDI-QIT-TOF mass spectrometer in negative ion mode. Samples are prepared by mixing acidic glycosphingolipid samples directly on the target with a 2'-4'-6' trihydroxy acetophenone monohydrate matrix solution containing a diammonium hydrogen citrate hydrate mixture.
Determine the relative amount of gangliosides measured in the MALDI-QIT-TOF mass spectrometer and calculate the signal difference between the different conditions.
Ganglioside Analysis service is one of our main businesses, and we are confident in being a reliable partner to our clients in this field. GT2 is a class of gangliosides, CD BioGlyco provides fast and efficient GT2 analysis services using MALDI-TOF. If you are interested in our services, please contact us for more details without any hesitation.
