Biodegradable Chitosan-Hyaluronic Acid Development

CD BioGlyco is committed to providing clients with professional technical consultation and solution formulation in the field of biodegradable chitosan-hyaluronic acid development. Our first-class research team will customize chitosan-hyaluronic acid to your specific needs to accelerate your R&D vision.

Properties of Biodegradable Chitosan-Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a chain polymer formed by a β-1,4-glycosidic chain with β-D-N-acetylglucosamine and β-D-glucosesulfonic acid as structural units. Both hyaluronic acid and chitosan are polysaccharides with excellent biocompatibility, and they have special biochemical effects in living organisms. For example, hyaluronic acid can be used as a joint lubricant and wound healing agent; chitosan also has an antibacterial effect as a wound healing agent. These two polysaccharides have been widely used in the fields of drug carriers and tissue fillers.

Hyaluronic acid and chitosan have both similarities and complementarities in structure and performance. Under certain pH conditions, hyaluronic acid is negatively charged, while chitosan is positively charged. They are attracted to each other by electrostatic force. The water-holding capacity and viscoelasticity of the hydrogel formed by cross-linking of hyaluronic acid are better than those of chitosan hydrogel, but the mechanical strength of chitosan hydrogel is better than that of hyaluronic acid. Therefore, it is a feasible and efficient strategy to prepare chitosan-hyaluronic acid composite gels with different properties by controlling the reaction conditions to make up for the lack of chitosan gels with high brittleness, insufficient viscoelasticity, and water-holding capacity.

Biodegradable Chitosan-Hyaluronic Acid Development Services at CD BioGlyco

biodegradable-chitosan-hyaluronic-acid-development

Our R&D team is committed to providing clients with professional and reasonable solutions to develop Chitosan-based Biodegradable Materials including biodegradable chitosan-hyaluronic acid. We help clients to prepare hyaluronic acid solution and chitosan solution, and then mix the two obtained solutions in different proportions to make hyaluronic acid and chitosan solution cross-linking reaction, to obtain biodegradable chitosan-hyaluronic acid materials with good biocompatibility, friendly environment, high water permeability, significant bacteriostatic effect, and the ability to lighten and eliminate scars. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Development of chitosan-hyaluronic acid nanoparticles
We obtained nanoparticles from chitosan and hyaluronic acid using ionotropic gelation technology.
  • Development of drug delivery systems based on chitosan-hyaluronic acid nanoparticles
We encapsulate specific drugs such as antitumor drugs in chitosan-hyaluronic acid nanoparticles through physical binding to achieve direct drug delivery to cells.
  • Analysis of chitosan-hyaluronic acid nanoparticles
We help clients analyze the size of nanoparticles using electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering and develop the optimum size nanoparticles according to the customer's specific needs.
  • Development of multifunctional dressings based on chitosan-hyaluronic acid
  • Development of injectable and biodegradable in situ cross-linking chitosan-hyaluronic acid-based hydrogels
We offer strategies that do not require any chemical linkers or radiation sources to help clients develop ideal biomaterials for preventing postoperative adhesions, such as non-toxic and biodegradable hydrogel derived from N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan (NOCC) and aldehyde hyaluronic acid (A-HA).

Applications

  • Targeted delivery of anticancer drugs
  • Tissue regeneration
  • Dressing for wound care
