We mainly extract lectins from the seeds of C. arborescens. Using C. arborescens seeds as the material, the optimized extraction method greatly shortens the production cycle.
Common purification methods for lectins include Ion Exchange Chromatography, Hydrophobic Chromatography, Affinity Chromatography, etc. We use affinity chromatography to purify the crude extract. Lectin purification may suffer from insufficient purification and low production efficiency. The establishment of purification methods that obtain high purity and high yield of lectins is one of the prerequisites for smooth lectin production. Based on the reported steps, we optimize the purification method.
According to client requirements, we perform a series of tests on the lectin after purification. The molecular weight is detected by sodium dodecyl-sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Its amino acid composition is determined by an amino acid analysis system. The N-terminal amino acid sequence is determined by high-performance liquid chromatography. We also perform a lectin sugar-binding specificity assay.
After optimized extraction and purification methods, we obtain high-quality CAA and conjugate products. Our products include CAA, colloidal gold conjugate, biotin conjugate, ferritin conjugate, FITC conjugate, etc.
