The central law of biology describes the process of extracting genetic information from genes and making proteins to produce biological effects, i.e., DNA transcription to produce RNA, which translates and synthesizes proteins, and this is a process known as gene expression.
Glycogene expression profiling measures which glycogenes are being expressed in a cell at a given moment, allowing the detection of thousands of genes or even the entire genome at once. This method measures the mRNA level in cells to reflect the level of gene expression, reflecting the existence state of cells at a specific moment. It is widely used to study the function of glycogenes in diseases and to find biomarkers to discover therapeutic targets for diseases.
