CD BioGlyco has many years of rich experience in Recombinant Lectin Production, providing personalized services and specific lectin production services according to client needs. Galactose-binding Lectin with high affinity for β-galactose in glycoconjugates. It is composed of N-acetyllactacosamine (LacNAc) residues consisting of galactose β-linked to N-acetylglucosamine. We have well-established expression systems with experienced operators that satisfy the recombinant expression of various types of lectins.
We provide both high-quality large-scale and fast small-volume production services to meet clients' different application needs. Based on this, we optimize the conditions for small-volume expression to shorten the cycle time and complete the service quickly to accelerate the progress of clients' projects. For large-scale lectin production, we optimize the production process to ensure high-quality production services. In addition, the analysis of recombinant lectins is key to understanding their functions and application. We offer high throughput and sensitivity assays.

We provide some basic analysis services including hemagglutination inhibition test, balanced dialysis, Glycan Microarray, high-resolution fluorescence microscope analysis, solid binding test bead type, etc.
We provide fast and comprehensive high-throughput analysis services through centrifugal ultrafiltration high-performance liquid chromatography, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), fluorescence polarization (FP), capillary affinity electrophoresis, and laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection and frontal affinity chromatography (FAC) services.
Paper Title: Galectin-2 has bactericidal effects against Helicobacter pylori in a β-galactoside-dependent manner
Journal: International Journal of Molecular Sciences
Published: 2020
IF: 5.6
Background: Galectin-2 (Gal-2) belongs to the β-galactoside-binding protein family, in which glycosyl ligand is the terminal LacNAc. Gal-2 is present in the organism as homodimers and links glycoconjugates containing β-galactosides.
Results: By the interaction between β-galactoside and the bacteria, Gal-2 induces the aggregation of H. pylori and suppresses its growth to achieve sterilization. The inhibition was associated with Gal-2 concentration, which occurred at concentrations higher than 93.9 µg/mL. Notably, expression induced by Gal-2 would be disrupted by lactose. Furthermore, Gal-2 showed affinity to HI antigen. In summary, Gal-2 was involved in the H. pylori immunity process.
