Oligonucleotide Cy3&Cy5 Labeling Service

The Characteristics of Cy3&Cy5 Labeling

Anthocyanin family Fluorescent Dyes are a family of synthetic fluorescent dyes with chemically structural characteristic polymorphic bridging chains. There is usually a bridging chain with the end joined by two nitrogen atoms, one of which is positively charged. Cy dyes form mesoionic compounds with an out-of-region positive charge effect. Because of this structural feature, Cy dyes have high extinction coefficients, molar extinction capacity, and chemical stability. The bridge chain length and the chromophores at both ends directly control the dye absorption peaks and emission peaks, thus allowing the Cy series of dyes to cover almost all commonly used fluorescence bands from Ultraviolet (UV) to far infrared. Labeling is usually carried out at the 5ʹ or 3ʹ end of the oligonucleotide, and sometimes at both ends. It is a ubiquitous method for in vitro detection, monitoring, quantification, and study of DNA and RNA.

Cy3&Cy5 Labeling Service at CD BioGlyco

Cy3 and Cy5 dyes are frequently used as oligonucleotide labeling molecules and are essential for experimental approaches based on sequence-dependent fluorescence. At CD BioGlyco, we provide a complete Cy3&Cy5 labeling service, including primary product synthesis, fluorescent label purification products, labeling the purity of product determination, structure characterization, and marker working concentration detection. If you need to further arrange the product activity experiment, please communicate with the technical support staff to customize the best cell or biological experimental culture plan for you.

  • The Cy dyes labeling services we offer include normal labeling and modified dyes labeling:
  • Ordinary Cy dyes have low water solubility and must be pre-dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g., DMF or DMSO) and then added to the labeling reaction system.
  • Modified Cy dyes are very soluble in water and labeled directly in aqueous solutions (e.g., PBS buffer).

Both dyes are purified by ion exchange resins, electrophoresis, and gel filtration. CD BioGlyco has a professional quality inspection system, careful production process, and professional customization of each modification dye, etc. to control the entire process. Depending on the purpose, different purification methods are used to ensure that the quality of the product meets the customerʹs requirements.
