Uridine nucleotides (UMP), also known as monophosphoryl uridine, is an ester composed of phosphate and the nucleoside uridine, which together with cacodylic acid (CMP) forms the pyrimidine nucleotide portion of RNA. The uracil nucleotides play important roles in cell structure, metabolism, energy, and functional regulation. In addition, uracil nucleotides are synthetically active substances that can act as coenzyme components and methyl donors in the body, etc. UMP plays an integral role in intestinal nutrition and promotes the normal development, maturation, improvement, and repair of the intestinal tract. On the other hand, UMP also has a regulatory effect on the body's immune system. It can contribute to the maintenance of cellular and humoral immune responses, and can also relieve some of the immunosuppression.
