Calcium Lactobionate Analysis Service
Excellent Calcium Lactobionate Analysis Service Rely on Professional Team
Calcium lactoconate is a calcium salt produced by the oxidation of lactose, also known as 4-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-D-gluconic acid hemicalcium salt monohydrate. It contains no less than 96.0% and no more than 102.0% calcium lactobionate (C24H42CaO24·2H2O). Characterization and stability studies of active ingredients in Pharmaceuticals are essential. CD BioGlyco offers safe and reliable analytical services for calcium lactobionate.

- Calcium test: Our researchers determine the amount of calcium in a sample by direct titration. First, the sample is dissolved in an aqueous solution containing dilute hydrochloric acid. The titrant comprises disodium edetate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, and hydroxy naphthol blue. The solution to be tested is magnetically stirred and titrated continuously until the blue color is focused. Our researchers repeat the titration experiment at least three times to ensure the accuracy of the calculated data.
- We use thin-layer chromatography (TLC) to contrast the color, size, and radio frequency (RF) values of the standard and calcium lactonase-tested solutions.
- We provide the identification and analysis of the impurities in the sample such as halides, chlorides, sulfates, and reducing substances analysis. Our researchers use residual titration to analyze reducing substances by calculating the percentage of the reducing material (e.g., Dextrose) in the samples used.
- Characterization service
We rapidly characterize calcium lactoconate by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis.
- Stability test service
We provide physicochemical properties and degradation tests of calcium lactoconate with different preservation times. The specific test services we provide are as follows:
- Bioconversion assay
- HPLC analysis
- Moisture analysis
- Forced degradation test
- Specific rotation analysis
- Optical rotation test
- Accelerated and long-term stability test
- Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry
- Stress tests, temperature, and oxidation

Results: In this study, stability and forced degradation product analysis of sodium, potassium, calcium lactobionate, and lactobionic acid were evaluated. The stability and forced degradation product analysis of calcium lactobionate samples were evaluated by bioconversion assay, accelerated and long-term stability tests, and forced degradation tests. The calcium lactobionate sample remained stable over 6 months. It was stable under alkaline and acidic pH conditions, 60 and 80°C, and ultraviolet and visible spectrum (UV) irradiation.
